What is Naturopathy

Our bodies are not machines—they are unique life forces craving balance, and every individual's symptoms deserve to be understood. Naturopathy, or naturopathic medicine, is a whole-body approach to health. Its focus is on helping the mind, body, and spirit achieve balance through non-invasive natural remedies and healing modalities.
Naturopathic practitioners look at the root cause of symptoms to create personalized health plans that support deep, lasting healing. Some of the assessment and healing modalities used include muscle testing, herbal remedies, detoxification, iridology, bodywork, and emotional healing. Naturalopathy does not diagnose or treat diseases; it looks at dis-ease as areas of imbalance that can be corrected.
How We Assess Your Health

1. Muscle Testing
Muscle Response Testing (MRT) uses the body's nervous system and electromagnetic field to check for stress, weakness, or imbalance in the body.
Every muscle is connected to the nervous system and, through it, different organs and systems. When testing, we apply light pressure to a muscle (usually the arm). With our other hand, we hold on to various organ test points, which creates a circuit. If the test arm holds strong, it indicates strength and balance within the circuit. If the test arm goes weak, it indicates a "break" or weakness in the circuit; therefore, the body is out of balance in that specific area.
2. Iridology
Iridology is a non-invasive technique that looks at the patterns, colors, and markings in your iris (the colored part of your eye). These features can give insights into your overall health and areas of imbalance in the body. This helps us understand your current state of wellness and any genetic predispositions to weakness.
3. pH Testing
Urine pH measures how acidic or alkaline your urine is. It gives insight into your body's internal balance and how well your metabolism, kidneys, and diet are supporting overall health. Saliva pH can give insight into your body's overall balance and digestive health. All diseases occur in an acidic environment; testing these areas can give insight into the status of the individual's health.
